International Men's Day is celebrated across the world on 19 November to focus efforts to bring positive change towards the welfare of men and raise awareness of issues faced by men.

International Men's Day was inaugurated in 1992 by Thomas Oster. It was conceived a year ago.

Because of its importance, the day was revived in 1999 by Dr. Jerome Teelaksingh, lecturer in history at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago.
